Jaboticaba (Large leaf, large fruit) Unsure of its true ID. This one is a seedling from mature fruiting tree.
Known as Brazilian Grapetree. It’s easy to see why it’s also called the Brazilian grapetree, as the fruit looks like large dark purple grapes. The curious and quite striking thing about the jaboticaba is that the fruit is carried on the trunk and inner limbs rather than on the ends of branches.
Jaboticaba flowers are white and fluffy and during the peak summer flowering season the flower covered stems are stunning.
The trees themselves are multi-trunked and evergreen, slowly growing to around 8 m tall. They can be pruned if required.
Plant Care:
Keep sheltered from the wind. Water regularly, doesn't like to dry out.

Plants will only be sent out to you on a Monday & Tuesday to avoid plants being caught in transit over the weekend. If plants are ordered after 12noon on a Tuesday they will be couriered to you on the following Monday. Tracking numbers will be emailed out to you as soon as the package is picked up by our Courier and on its way to you.
Please allow up to three working days for North island delivery, three - five days for South island deliveries and an extra day for rural deliveries.
