Cane begonia with beautiful foliage. The new leaves come out a copper colour then turn dark green and silver as they mature. The patterns on the leaves of this plant change with seasonal light & temperature conditions.
Continually seeking an ID for this begonia, if you have an idea, please flick me a message on Instagram. Closest ID's are Lana or Dimitri. But for now, I’ve been calling it Silver Dragon wing, just so its not another unknown begonia :)
Cane begonia can tolerate more water & brighter light than the rhizomatous variety. Let soil dry slightly between watering's. Best positioned somewhere plant can receive good bright light without scorching the leaves or getting too hot.
East-, west-, or south-facing windows are best. If any burning occurs when grown in a south-facing window, move the plant farther from the window. As an alternative, they grow well under grow lights. Place where dry air from heater vents won’t blow directly on them.
